I noticed that at https://www.applerouth.com/blog/2015/02/16/how-will-top-colleges-use-the-redesigned-sat/ it says that CMU will accept the old SAT only if it is taken junior or senior year for the Class of 2017. (Of course, senior year would be impossible, since the SAT changes in March of their junior year.)
So I went to http://admission.enrollment.cmu.edu/pages/standardized-test-requirements and found that the SAT Subject Tests are also supposed to be taken junior or senior year, which came as a surprise to me. My son took 2 SAT Subject tests (Math II and Physics) his freshman year and got great scores. So, we thought he was done with SAT Subject Tests.
Does anyone know if CMU admissions makes exceptions to this junior/senior rule for subject tests?
