I am a sophmore and a frequent reader here at CC, but i keep getting mixed messages for prep books, so, i just wanted a thread where people propose a book for a subject, and giving reasons why the book is good. With so many people on this site, all proposing different things, its hard to get a clear message, so i hope to help clear some of that up here, thanks to anyone that gives input

I think most people agree that:
AP Bio - Cliffs
Math IIC - Barrons/10 realistic

Anything else that has been posted as the ______ Bible here on CC would be also on the list, so please list them as you see fit, thx from me and every other CC noob.

Its such a pain running a search everytime you want to find the best prep book for ____ test, you might as well conjoin everything into one gigantic thread ;)

AP Psych- Barrons (definitely)
AP Stats- Barrons (definitely)
AP Euro- Princeton Review
AP World- Barrons (definitely)

SAT World History- Barrons(for review, practice tests=kaka), Kaplan
SAT Biology- Barrons

I personally think that a good review for Euro would be schuam's book, its a good review, but no tests, Barrons (purple and white) is solid for practice tests, but i have heard princeton is good as well

I dont mean to be rude, but i hope to get a list of books TO get, not to stay away from, since thats very little help, but thanks for the advice, although i disagree for most APs (since they re on a 5 point scale...) and they are not that off on the AP chemistry test i have taken, thanks again

"Math IIC - Barrons"
No way very inaccurate, and will cause massive pandemonium of panic among test-takers.
SAT2 Physics - Kap, PR
SAT2 USH - Study for AP?
SAT2 Chem - Study for AP?
sorry I can't help you for the last two.

AP Environmental Sci- Awesome Guides
AP Chem- Arco/PR, Cliffs for labs
AP USH- Amsco/Rea, PR for practice tests
SAT II Bio- Barron's
SAT II Chem- Barron's
AP Calc- Arco/PR
AP Statistics- Barron's
AP Bio- Cliffs is awesome, but Barron's is pretty decent , esp. for extra practice tests

That is my hope, i really think something like this will make everything soo much easier for everyone, it pains me everytime to see the same thread, only with differnt answers, and no real explainations....and it confuses me a lot to see that barrons, kaplan, princeton review, amsco, cliffs and every other book is "a must have" or "solid" for ap chem, or SAT 2 math IIc, cuz it sometimes isnt, and then, someone has decreased their chances of doing well, even if its by a little...

its worse to have misinformation than to have no information.

I've seen many say that the Cliffs is good for AP Bio, but what about for SAT II Bio? Is it just as good or should I be looking at something else?
