SAT II and Colleges Question

I am wondering how much weight colleges like GWU, Harvard, Stanford, etc who require or recommend subject tests, place weight on the tests? If you got a "good" but not "outstanding" SAT score, can an outstanding subject test score compensate for this a little?

Say you get an SAT of 2100... Would Subject test scores of 700+/800 range, strengthen your application and compensate for not getting 2400 SAT?

No. As they may choose which subject tests they will take, most students who apply to HYPMS and other tops have perfect (or almost perfect) SAT II scores. Therefore, SAT I tends to be much more valued.

Go look at the result threads. A 2400 SATII tends to look better than a 2400 SAT1 at some schools.

I would take a 2400SATII 2300SAT1 over a 2250SATII 2400SATI
