SAT II Bio

First time post! (just wanted to put that out there ^.^)
Anyway,
I have not taken a biology course in school (honors bio) since freshman year (now a junior) and I plan to take the SAT II Bio in May or June of this year (aiming for 800, atleast 750). I just want a basic overview of the test... as in should I pay close attention to minute details such as 1 gram of any lipid releases 9 calories per gram, or pay closer attention to the bigger/main aspects of biology. What is on the test, really?
As of right now, I have the Barron's 2008 bio e/m. Any other suggestions/tips/other review books/anything, is helpful.

Thanks in advance ~_~

Hi!

I'm taking the SAT Bio May 3rd! I'm so freaked out b/c I'm a freshman taking bio & I want to take the June administration but I won't be in American then. Finally I have someone to talk to about this test! I'm literally going crazy - I'm studying for hours everyday.

I bought the Barron's SAT Bio 2008 book too. There are some typos but other than that it's really good. I'm aiming to get everything right. But I just don't seem to do so well on the practice tests. I've tried basically all the test prep materials there are. Princeton Review is very clear but not very detailed. I don't like Kaplans - it just doesn't seem very organized.

Try College Board's released tests (The Official Study Guide for All the SAT Subject Tests). I think that the tests definitely vary for each administration, some seem easier. Sometimes they ask for details, but probably not like 1g fat=9 calories, lol.

Organismal bio is hard for me - it's so broad and I'm just afraid that I get like a diagram of the ear or something and hormones - they're so confusing.

Sorry this is so long - I recommend you to join the Sparknotes discussion board. Some people have actually taken it and discuss the questions and answers.

Good luck:)
