My teacher claims Barrons is the best however from what I read online it seems Barrons is too extensive and Princeton Review has the stuff most on the test.

I think that the general consensus on the board is that Princeton Review is better than Barrons and that as you said, barrons is usually deemed as too much. If you feel like you don't need that much review, and just want to reinforce concepts then I recommend PR, If you want to make sure you know a superflous amount of biology, go with barrons. Or if you want a combination of those two get Kaplan. I am studying to take the exam and I am using Kaplan and Cliffs AP Bio, because I've only take regents bio.

barrons... pr is a good review... but to get like 750+ use barrons. I used pr and kaplans bio and got 750 - there were a few questions ont he test that I have no clue of so my recommendation is go with barrons. Even though it is really in depth, it will help you with those 'left-field' questions that always pop-up.

yes,Barron's does have alot of crap that you won't need. But PR is too simplfied for my taste (I had a thread here somewhere about that). I'm using Barron's right now. Its questions are imo better than those in PR.

Well my teacher told us that PR is the easiest and has no material and Barrons would be the best choice and Kaplan is in between. Also I got a 650 on the Practice Test today (while we only covered 1 semester worth and with no preparation)

Also she claims that E is easier. What's your take ?

Man, you guys are lucky to have teachers who actually know some insight about the SAT II, all my science teachers are clueless about it. And they' said they've never had a student ask them about except for me.

Having used all 3 (Barrons,PR and Kaplan) for SAT II Bio/M I would
subjectively say that the actual test difficulty could be
described as follows:

Easy .. Hard
[1] .. [10]

Minimal prep Time ... Medium ... Beaucoup Time
< 2weeks <4 weeks > 8 weeks
[A] ** [C]
