SAT II Chemistry May 2012

on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the hardest) what would u guys rate the test?

i just want to hear your opinions… so far a lot of ppl are sayin it’s hard
which can be a good thing bc the curve can be “nice”

yes, the answer was 2.5 mols in excess :)

I did barrons, mcgraw hill’s and the blue book, compared to the real test i thought the real test was a bit easier. Anyone know when scores come out?

I did think the TF section was significantly easier than most practice tests I’ve taken. The more TF or FT, the less you have to debate about CE.

For that gas with the highest kinetic energy, shouldn’t it be the gas with the maximum mass and not CH4 which had like the minimum mass? KE = 1/2 MV^2 , that is it is directly proportional to the mass?

honestly, if i get above a 780 im happy but i really want that 800.

yes, but energy is directly proportional to velocity squared, and velocity is inversely proportional to mass

if i omitted 16 but positive on my other answers, will i have a chance to get in the 700s?

someone please answer? =]

What was asked in the question?

i had checked the 2.5 mole excess of LiN, and that was wrong from my work. I picked A for that, w/e that was lols.

if i omitted 16 but positive on my other answers, will i still have a chance to get in the 700s?

someone please answer? =]

I posted a scoring guide on the 10th page.

@tneduts it will probably be in the 700’s.

i got one CE also

LETS ALL DECIDE:

Was it one or two CE?
The one we all got was obvious what was the other one that people put?

I got 2, but the one I put about vapor pressure and boiling point was wrong I think…

I think it’s two… a bunch of people I know got two… the boiling point vapor pressure one, as well as the ratio of moles to liters one.
The vapor one tripped me up because of the second statement, but in the end, i think that the first part of the second statement accounted for the whole thing. The second part of the second statement was true but superfluous.

Theres only ONE CE and I can prove it. What did you guys put for crystallizing one? 15 grams?

ok Hannibb please prove it…
