SAT II Chemistry

^

I was also concerned with the lack of density in the Princeton Review preparatory book for Chemistry II. I finished all the review sections in 3 days and felt that it was way too fast. I took a practice test and received a 720. Personally, I felt that it would essentially a review of everything I learned in my chemistry honors class (I learned about some topics that weren’t in the review book).

How about taking the chem test without any prep in chem whatsoever? Is there any way to self study chem enough for the subject sat? I need to take the test next spring ( I’m a rising junior). But I won’t even be taking basic chem until senior year. Is there any way I’ll be able to self study enough chem by the time the test roles around?

And I want a score of 750+. I’m willing to work for it but it has to be like possible. :stuck_out_tongue: thoughts?

It’s quite astonishing how you won’t be taking even basic chemistry until senior year. Maybe you can talk to the administration to get that changed?

If you just focus on the SAT Chemistry II, it is definitely possible to achieve 750+. I would recommend getting an introductory chemistry book. My school used Zumdahl: Introductory to Chemistry and it worked wonders with simple but effective explanations. After going through that book, you might want to buy prep books and just practice taking tests. :D
