We require scores either from the SAT I or the ACT for both first year and transfer students. Three SAT II's are also required: the first in writing, the second in either level of mathematics, and the third in any other subject. SAT II scores are used for both admission and placement purposes. Certain scores on AP and IB examinations can earn credit towards the graduation requirements at UVA.</p>

<p>hrm well writing isn’t a test anymore so I think that would explain your question.</p>
