Hey, I just got back my Biology-M score, and it's a 660, and I don't know if I should retake. It was my 1st SAT II, and in one of my slightly weaker subjects, so I know that I'll do better (720+) on my better subjects. I have great extracurriculars, volunteering, summer programs, ranked top of class. If I'm looking at schools like Georgetown SFS, UVA, BC, and a couple of Ivies, would it hurt my chances terribly if I didn't retake it?

bummppppp...

If you can score better on other SATIIs then I think those should cover your this SATII. Most schools only consider top two or three SAT IIs only.

ambition -- My D received the same score when she took Bio M as a Freshman in HS. The NYS Regents curriculum did not cover all of the material covered by the SAT II test, although her teacher did provide some additional after-school instruction to those who were interested to prepare them for the SAT. She took the test again this Spring after taking a HS Microbiology course and increased her score to a 740. If you have the time and inclination you should consider taking it again. On the other hand, if you feel you would perform better on other subject tests I would say focus on your strengths.
