SAT II Literature??

What is SAT II Literature...? I can imagine what the test would be like for other subjects like history, bio, chem, physics, math etc... but literature??? Are you tested on what you know about US Literature? or European?... Is it like you read a passage and you answer or do you have to memorize the entire US literature... :/

It is basically a reading comprehnsion test.

Yeah I wanted to know this also!!! In October I might take the SAT II Lit, what exactly is it all about? I took practice ones and it seems fine but why does everyone say they are so difficult? Also, fot SAT IIs, the writing SAT II.. there is no such thing anymore is there? Because when I looked on CB it didn't have it listed. I am also guessing that colleges wouldn't want you to take it because of the new writing portion on the SAT...

It sounds like reading comprehension, but you need to know your literary devices at least, and poetic terms and such. For instance, what are aphorisms and what is anaphora? I'm not entirely sure the test includes this or if it's limited to that, but hope it helps some.
