I'm currently in AP Comp. Having never been enrolled in a Lit course, could I succed on the SAT Lit exam with some preparation? I have an A in Comp and have done well in English in the past, although my weakness is probably multiple choice questions considering literature. I can write a decent essay analyzing a passage, but multiple choice questions are hard because they often judge your ability to agree with the test maker.

I did the same thing last year and I discovered that I was woefully unprepared. While you analysis skills are good, they are not geared towards poetry like in an AP Lit course. If you really want to take the SAT II in Literature, study poetry terms like meter and rhyme scheme or look at some AP Lit guides.

So … basically, the entire SAT II Literature test? :P

Last year, I was in AP Comp as well, and took the SAT Lit exam. I got a 690. It’s really easy, it reminded me of those state tests they made us take in like 7th grade where we had to read a short story and answer multiple choice questions about it. Go for it!
