SAT II Math IC prep help!

I was wondering that from the vast amount of smartness found here with you CC'ers some of you have surely taken the Math IC Sat II ;) What is the best way to study for this test? Any specific prep books that are simpy awesome, I know some do a better job than others, which prep books are the best?

i took mine in jan and if you think 720 is an ok score, read on..

I liked princeton review - cracking the SAT II maths (? can't remember the exact title). Princeton review suggested little hints on how to work out this/that equation faster, etc..
I didn't like Barrons SAT II because it provided so much info that was not even on the test. It also had many printing errors and I had to ask my maths teacher many times if thisthat formula was right/not.
I also went over Kaplans. Kaplan's was ok. Not fantabulous but ok. Bit on the easy side but the information was accurate and clear.

To study for the test, I took many practise tests from the above 3 books. Barron's had the hardest questions (more like, difficult to understand) and i thought princeton review was decent and kaplan's was a bit easy. But on the test day, i thought that the test I got was on the same level with Kaplan's practise tests.
On my first practise test, I got 520 or something. Then after going over all the test questions, timing myself carefully (it used to take me 2 hours to finish 1 test  ), revising constantly, I got about 700-760 --- that is about 1 month later (i am not great wit maths). Therefore, (you guys might not agree), I think I have made a huge accomplishment getting a 720 lol.

I'm planning to take the maths ic again and aim for about 770-800 and I'm planning to use my princeton review book again.
good luck!

Erm... IC is probably one of the stupidest tests. There's practically no curve, and compared to IIC, it's much harder. I suggest you to just take IIC and forget about IC.

I agree with Sigh. IC is a crazy test with no curve, I took Math2C and got a 800 while on the practice tests for IC I got max 760. Take Math2C the curve is super generous and the topic is very superficial. YOu don't need to study with a textbook, even if you don't know the material the amount on the prep books is enough for the test. For the book use PR and Kap. Barron's is exorbitantly hard.

how much math is required for math 2c. like do you need to have taken ap calc before taking the test? i'm signed up for 1c, but i'm thinking about switching

precalculus but if you're good enough you can take while taking precalc or even before.

hmm.. but I thought that the ivys required you to take math IC as well, is this not true? the only reason why I really want to take this test is because its required.. so you can basically just crap out on the IC and just take the 2C??

ahh nvm, I just answered my own question lol.. so you can take either the IC or IIC, thusly so, according to you guys, taking the math IIC is the way to go because of its generous curve eh?
