SAT II Math Level Two May 2012

can somebody refresh me on the options for the x^2 +4 = 8.

I remember all of the options had I as an option except B, so i put b…

@stuntopolis - I think I put be as well. There’s a master list if you scroll a couple pg back that includes the problem you mentioned.

Thats weird as hell. Coulda sworn my test had x=.

Now im dumb as hell! lmao

@young, wait now i’m not so sure…
oh god someone refresh me

@swoony - I’m almost positive it was r = cos(theta). At any rate, that’s what the majority of the forum read it as. :slight_smile: Fingers crossed. A little more than 2 weeks.

good luck to all of us ^____^ praying for a generous curve!

@meepster
Yeah you just had to count for the middle one since it was already written in order. I think it was 56, but I can’t remember the specifics.
and yeah definitely first quadrant.

any other questions? I’m at 2 omit, 2 miss. This is gonna bug me until May 24th.

@theexyw - I’m at 2 skipped, 1 missed. But there’s always a margin for error. I don’t remember anymore though. :frowning: Told myself I would only have today to freak about it, as APs are about to start. GAHHHHH.

@meepster
I am so scared I made some stupid mistakes because first 30 were so easy I didn’t double check… /: I hope the curve is nice.
APs…oh gosh, AP Chem tomorrow…and then as soon as APs are done, we can start freaking out about SAT scores…this is neverending.

Missed 4 like 2 or 3 omits. Oh well.

@theexyw - According to everyone, it’s a good curve. I’m scared of the same thing. I know I went over the first 20 or so because I had some time at the end. But you really don’t stop thinking about it until the scores come out. Oh HAHAHAHA - I’m taking AP Chem too. #highschoollife

I’m still at omit 3, none wrong, unless I misinterpreted the p^3 question. I hope I didn’t get any of the really easy ones wrong.

For the question about r=cos(x), was there answer options (0.5,pi/3) as well as (pi/3,0.5)? I’m afraid I might have chosen the wrong one of the two out of sheer carelessness.

The early question about median test score - was the answer 56?
Two strange looking triangles, one small next to one big, find h - answer was something like 5.35?

I just remembered one! The isosceles triangle with a base of 25 and a vertex angle of 42. Was the perimeter 67 or something?

StudiousMaximus, for that problem, base was 25cm, vertex angle was 42. I think. Your answer looks good.

Edited, thanks crossroads. Yeah, I remember calculating and getting 68.9 or something and thinking, “That’s not that close.” I used law of cosines.

You mean vertical line test?

my 4th omit has been nagging me, but it was that isosceles triangle so its all good :0

@easonok
right? isnt it the one that is not a function…

like there are two y values for x…

vertical test, right?

i got so scared for a second OMG

for the perimeter question i am pretty sure the vertex angle was not 42… i think it was 50… and for perimeter i put… 84.2 or something like that
