***SAT II Math October 2016 Discussion Thread***

For the spherical surface question, the answer was point or a circle right? @mathguy372829

Yea the intersection is 2 dimensional so circle and point because tangency

do u remember the “how many lines that does not intersect for x/x^2-1 question” did you get 2 or 3

2 I graphed it. 3 possible but horizontal asymptote crosses x axis so it wasn’t one

What was the answer for that Year in which Currency/Coin something? I Marked that option in 1910s. Not the 1970s one.

Yeah it was 1910

does anyone remember the actual problem about mars’s to jupiters’ distance? And how did you do the probability for the odd numbers problem?

oh ya how did u find the slope of the triangle that had y=x intersecting it?

@dreamgirl2114 Wasnt that Q36 or something? The answer for that for -3. First find area of the Triangle. Using that you’ll Get either x or y ( Depends on the formula u used). After that Find Slope using y2-y1/x2-x1 .

Curve prediction guys?

I really hope its a 44/50 for 800. I left 3 and im Not sure abt 2.

Ah @ThugLife13 ah o kthanks for answering my question…i remember for that problem the area was 2…was that the area for the top part of the whole triangle?

It was for the Shaded region.

I hate to sound like Mr. Prissy Pants, but you guys really aren’t supposed to be discussing the actual answers that you gave for the questions. They will lock up your account on this forum, and technically the College Board can void your scores, assuming they find out who you are.

hey y’all so I suck at math and omitted 10 questions but assuming I got the rest right, does anyone know what the highest possible score I could get would be?

Any hope for 43=800?

Nah this test was the same test as the June 2015 administration of the Math level 2 exam, and they reckon the curve was raw score 44=800 @fedfan1998

Here is the thread btw for those interested, I checked my answers with the ones they compiled and so far I’m on 1 omit, 1 incorrect so fingers crossed for 800!

@blu5959

Nice find! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-subject-tests-preparation/1772200-official-sat-subject-test-math-level-2-june-2015-p75.html

A guy on this page is saying he omitted 8 and missed 1-2 and got an 800. So, I’m holding my hope

I omitted one and I think I missed around 5 or 6. Idk how curves work but is that an 800?
