***SAT II Math October 2016 Discussion Thread***

I got an 800! I think the curve for this test was pretty nice, I did 3 omits and got 2-3 wrong.

800! Done w standardized testing lmao

Edit: SIKE we got AP Exams but it’s senior year so who cares

800! For future kids who may take this test if it’s repeated (again), the curve is AT LEAST 43=800, meaning it could be more lenient than that. I know for sure I missed 4 and I omitted 2, which is 43.

Hey guys, I am an International student. I just dont get it, I got on college board practice test 780-800. And in the SAT I got 660(!!), it is almost makes no sense. Do defacts happen sometimes in collegeboard’s calculations? I just dont understand, the test was pretty ok.

@Amitre Their scoring is usually pretty accurate. If you are really concerned, you can call and ask for a rescore, but keep in mind that CB practice tests are often easier than the actual tests in order to give you a false sense of confidence. I believe there is also a rescore request form on CB’s website.

Hey, writing the Math II subject test later. Is a graphing calculator necessary? Is scientific enough?

@InfiniteLibrary Having a graphing calculator is recommended. Scientific should be good enough but you’ll miss out on some of the high-end functions of graphing calculators that make life easier for you on the test. It’s just easier to do it with a graphing calculator.
