Im turning sophomore and im wondering whether i should take sat subject tests.. i know some school require them but i dont know which college i want to go to so... would it be worth taking the subject tests ?? do most schools require them? (im thinking of taking the literature subject test )

Most schools do not require them.

Only Ivies(minus Harvard, but they do recommend them) and a few other selective schools like Caltech and UCB require/recommend them. I believe there’s a list on the college board’s website that shows which schools require/recommend them.

Check out this list: <a href=“SAT Subject Test Requirements and Recommendations - Compass Education Group”>SAT Subject Test Requirements and Recommendations - Compass Education Group; There are a lot more than just a few other schools that recommend/require them. Any top tier school will require them, and many more will recommend them.

THAT BEING SAID, I applied to a school last year (University of Rochester) that highly recommends them, and I didn’t send them. I was accepted anyway.

It doesn’t hurt to take them.
