Hey, hope everyone is doing well. Now i know usually people first take an AP class and then take the sat ii exam for that particular subject. However, unfortunately my school does not offer a lot of AP courses in the science department. I would like to take the physics and chemistry sat ii exams. So my question is: Would i be prepared well for the sat ii subject exams if i just take the normal courses offered at my school? If the normal courses are not sufficient enough, how can i prepare for the sat ii exams? I would like to have a score of 750+ hopefully.
thanks in advance!

Any help is really appreciated!

Buy some study books (Barron’s, Princeton Review, Kaplan, etc.). Unless your teachers are really good or teach a lot of material, you probably need to do a good amount of studying outside the class to do well on the science subject tests. Try to buy a study book or two for each subject and read through them. They will provide all the material you need to do well. Make sure you take a lot of practice tests so that you know what types of questions will come on the real test. Good luck!

AP courses are pretty comprehensive, but normal courses would require outside study in order for 750+. Buy a prep book, I thought Barron’s was good for Chem (better than PR). I’m not sure about physics. Consider obtaining the AP exam books for info because they may be more comprehensive.
