I finally received my SAT subject test scores. I took it in december, but there was a snafu on collegeboards end, and now its march. USC is the only college I have yet to hear from.

I took two tests. BiologyE with a 620 scores and 55th percentile. and Literature with a 650 score and a 68th percentile.

So, this is the dilemna: Would those scores hurt or help? If I got a 700+, I would send it in instantly, but 620 and 650 is a little low, I think. On one hand, bonus points for taking it. On the other, minus points for a not so good score.

So, what would you recomend? Should I send them, or not?

Thanks for the help! I'm going insane, just like everyone else.

I got the exact same score in Literature, what a coincidence! Haha

Only scores of 700 + would probably help, but I don't think sending in your scores would hurt. Since it's not a requirement I doubt low scores will really be weighted. In short, having high scores will probably get you some points but if you have low scores I don't think they'll deduct anything. Worth a shot to send 'em in :D

I havent taken mine yet - im applying this year for 2010 - how important do you think they are? Im international and up until a few weeks ago I didnt realise I had to take them lol.

My SAT II scores were pretty bad, Biology 640, World History 590, Math II 650, Chemistry 630

I got into USC during the first wave of admissions, in January, and got invited to the Presidential Explore. They must be looking more at essays and extra curriculars and GPA. I hope this eases your minds a little bit.
Good Luck!

Let me add my 2 cents if you don't mind. I was accepted to USC, more specifically Annenberg, with a 29 ACT and NOTHING else. I think that is a strong indicastor USC is a school looking for more than standardized tests. I wouldn't bother sending them just because 1) they aren't required and 2) they def. admit people without them (as evidence by me). It's just wasted money so why send them?

Agree with candy (sorry just read the posts now lol). If the SAT II's were a big determination, they would require them. Also, if you go to USC's student newspaper and search "admissions" you will find a recent article discussing UC's new policy of axing the subject tests as a requirement for admission for the 2010-2011. USC was quoted as "applauding this decision," clearly indicating they think SAT II's are useless. Hope this helps!

Hey, quick question about the SAT's. If you take both the SAT I and SAT II's, are both automatically sent to schools? Like if I were to take both but only wanted to submit the SAT I score, could I "leave out" the SAT II's?
