<p>they say good standardized scores/grades get you considered. superb ECs get you in. So yes, you need both : / tough deal. </p>

<p>You'll be ok. 650 is o~k~/on the lower side -- thing is you don't want to be o~k~ (the ~ is the side to side handmotion ;)) in a competitive applicant pool. But yea, 650 shouldn't hurt if you have other 'redeeming qualities'; it won't be a negative focus on your app unless everything else is un-amazing. 700 is good stuff tho - try and aim for that.</p>
