Hi, I was wondering...are SAT II scores considered for admission or just placement for Hopkins? Can low scores hurt you and lower your chance for admission? Just wondering. Thanks.

Since they require 3 SAT IIs (Writing and 2 others, one of which must be Math IIC for the engineering school,) I would guess that they consider them- otherwise, you could just take them spring of senior year. However, Hopkins is known for the attention it pays to the whole applicant, not just the numbers. Good luck!

to me, they probably doesnt matter THAT much since you can replace them with the ACT, which is nothing like the SAT ii

Ah...thanks. Silver, when you say that Hopkins pays attention to the whole applicant, do you mean they put a lot of weight on the essays, talent/ablities, etc and tend to not weigh GPA/SAT's as much as other schools?

From what I've heard, and my personal experience, yeah. If you demonstrate a passion for something, that will definitely help.

IIC is strongly recommended for the engineers. I didn't take IIC. Still got in.
