As of now I am registered to take the SAT I this saturday and the SAT II Math IIC test on November 1st. For some reason I kept thinking that Johns Hopkins requests 2 SAT II scores, so I was only planning to send my Chemistry and Math IIC score.
Is the "requests 3 SAT IIs" worth the hassle of changing test location and paying the late fee? Should I make the changes or am I just being too meticulous?

I think they "recommend" 3 test scores-they don't require anything. If you score high on chemistry and math, I see no reason to go through the hassle.

We attended an "information session" at JHU for prospective applicants a few weeks ago. The presenter confirmed they only require two, but he said they really really really recommend three. His message was clear --- send three.

I never really understood why schools don't just require things instead of reccommending.

Wait - they never REQUIRED it? I always wondered how I managed to get in with my crappy SATII scores.

I thought it was required. I know they were at a lot of ivies and MIT.

I don't think anyone REQUIRES SAT II scores, they just highly recommend them.

No, a lot of schools reqiure them:
Princeton, Harvard, and Georgetown require three. Which is the highest requirement of any school.

A lot of schools require that you take two of them.

Some schools reqiure that you take two or three UNLESS you have taken the ACT with writing.

And lastly, most schools I've come across highly reccommend them (which I almost take to mean they require it).

If I'm applying for early decision, I should probably sign up for the Nov. one with the late fee I'm guessing? I've already taken one...

SAT II's are not required, but up to three are recommended (Hopkins Undergraduate Admissions :: Apply :: Standardized Test Requirements)

alright, thanks for the responses!
