So I was going through my Official SAT II Subject Test Guide or whatever and the World History raw score-> scaled score thing said that you could get like 20 questions wrong on World History and get a 800... is this true ? What's with the curves of the tests, and could someone give a generalization on like 'known to be' easier SAT II's or harder ones, and subject tests that have a greater or less curve? Also, I'm planning on doing Chem, Math II, and US H... is that fine for HYPSM and those type of schools? Thanks.

P.S. I know this might be somewhat deviating from the board I'm posting on, but people in the other thread are nonresponsive. Thanks.

Math II’s curve is more generous than Math I’s by a lot. Also, colleges prefer that over Math I, because its harder material.

Although World History gives you a pretty big curve… its still hard as hell. Most of the questions you encounter will only either be briefly mentioned in the large prep books or not mentioned at all. I self-studied for World History, and only got answers right for questions that regarded the subjects of Asian History/Early European History/Modern History…classes that I have taken.

If you have taken World History Classes… like at school, you should be pretty prepared.

Chemistry isn’t too bad. There’s one part where they give you a statement and you have to answer true/false for each one… which is pretty annoying because if you get one step of it wrong I’m pretty sure you receive no credit at all…

I think language SAT II’s are relatively simple, but if you mess up…a few questions could make a 90% percentile drop to 50%ish…
