Has anyone ever gotten into JHU without the subject tests? Or is it basically required for admissions?
It is definitely a requirement for admissions, without it the application will be considered incomplete
JHU doesn’t require subject tests. They do, however, strongly recommend applicants take two.
Asssuming JHU is like the Ivies, “strongly encouraged” means that it’s pretty much required unless you’re disadvantaged financially or something in a way that you may not have known you’d need to take the tests.
Edit: Hopkins does allow January testing, you still might be able to sign up for that if you need to and do it now.
