<p>I am pretty sure the Soviet's greatest military asset was its army. What defeated the Germans in the Eastern Front? Was it the Red Army or the USSR's advanced technology? </p>

<p>One may say that the Russians suffered tens of millions of casualties and thus made its army weak. However, that number is misleading since most of it was before Stalingrad when the Russian army was in disarray and encircled everywhere. After Stalingrad, the Russians won every single decisive battles including Kursk, Leningrad, Belorussia, Budapest and Berlin. </p>

<p>If the Russians were so advanced in technology, why would they copy a fallen B-29 to make the Tu-4? Why would the Russians send large numbers of spies to monitor the Manhattan project?</p>
