it might have been from my study books (wayyy too many questions done past few weeks), but was there a question with something along the lines of this act helped assure the idea of affirmative action?

The other options were like baseball teams, department stores, and something else i cant remember. The answer was (E) though, Motion Picture palaces

hold on, as another edit to the final list, i remember one of the answers to a question was that the south did not have canals or extensive railroads built. which quesiton was that?

adamo, that was option E to the question like...which of these was NOT a reason for the south getting so rich off cotton. and it was not because of canals and railroads because transportation system still sucked in the south.

and also, wasn't the pre-1763 answer property taxes?
i'm pretty sure that was more important than inheritance laws because primogenture was no longer used?

alright. heeeere we go boys. i've edited the most recent list, and now we've got 89/90!

" '20. Most united civil rights effort MARCH ON WASHINGTON'

Sure about this? I chose the bus boycott answer."

I chose that too. I believe the wording was something like "what event represents the height of organization of the civil rights movement?". The march on washington was organized, but I wouldn't say nearly as organized as a year-long bus boycott.

Can we discuss 35? it was pretty tricky. I put option C, which was something along the lines of because the North and South unwillingness to compromise to the issue of slavery, or something. The whole economic part of the question confused me though since all the answers seemingly didnt involve economics at all...

The pre-1763 question was definitely trade restrictions. The period of "salutary neglect" is only a theory, and some prominent historians such as Louis Hacker say that that period was not one of salutary neglect- due to trade restrictions. The British implemented these restrictions because they believed in mercantilism.

Ok I rearranged the list to make it easier to check for repeats and for comparing to other lists that may have the ONE we are missing.

greenigauna, i'm positive. the question was not the most organized, it was the most unified.
with the bus boycott, it was simply montogomery, alabama, but the march on washington was really a majority of the black civil rights movment's leaders unified, marching on washington.

35 was a tricky question, but i'm sticking with what was listed there.
option C is correct, but that would not be an economic interpretation of it, rather, more political/anthropoligical.
