I'm taking this test next wk...i was looking through the Barron's book and it was ridiculous. Alot of stuff isn't even in the AP curriculum. THe real SAT is easier right? Also, there is a free sparknotes test for AP USH but is there one for SAT II? which book has the most accurate SAT II practice tests? Thanks

SAT II US by Sparknotes prepraed me well

I took it last year and had also taken the AP course and test, the SATII U.S. was much easier than the AP test...I got a 780 on the SAT II and a 5 on the test, so you shouldn't worry...in fact, there were even some questions from the AP test on the SATII.

I also used the sparknotes book -- the May test was just about the same as the AP test in terms of difficulty

How good is an SATII USH score of 750 compared to other people?

I think 750 is about 90th percentile. I got 770 and that was 94th percentile.

780 on May was apparently 96th.

Total studying I did for SATIIUSH: however much I studied for APUS test
Total studying for APUS: 1 hour. I just never got around to studying it because I was studying for AP chem.

There were 1-2 questions from the AP test on the SATII test. Questions were really similar but some of the questions were more interpretive than the AP one (like, analyze this graph, what does this quote mean) etc.

Has anyone tried using peterson's prep book?
