So I'm taking 3 of the SATIIs in a weeks time and I was wondering just how they compared to the AP examinations.

My teachers have said that they are "probabally easier than the AP" But the AP a 3 or 4 isn't bad where a 600 or so would be bad on the SAT Subject Tests.

I'm taking Math Lvl 2, US History, and Physics.

I took the AP US History exam a month or so ago, and I've picked up a Math study guide

Physics, I just will study what I know from this year because I forgot to pick up the book (In physics honors this year, going into AP next year)

So without studying much for the history SATII, will my AP prep be enough? I've completed the class and taken the finals and everything.

Thanks

SAT 2's are much harder. AP's test general questions, to check if u know ur shizz. SAT 2's are retarded. They ask you like specific gay questions. Sometimes stuff uve never heard of. Every question is crucial on the SAT2's so if u dont know that gay bit of info, ur effed. I HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![sorry had to let it out, hehe]

Well, onsomethinj has a point. They do test a lot of random stuff, esp. on USHist. A few weeks ago there was a huge thread about the questions on the May SAT II USH, and I remember a lot of confusion about ambiguous questions. Also there was a funny question about The Hudson River School/Style of art. So my advice would be to study the stuff since 1960 a little more, since AP only covers to Watergate, but its fairly important on the SATII. Also, if you're really a perfectionist, there will probably be 1-2 questions on Indian tribes that I did not know and probably were not covered in your AP syllabus.

SAT 2 is much harder in terms of curve and specificity. I wouldn't be too complacent. For USH there's really nothing you can do. Just read the AMSCO book or your textbook if you have. Short reviews don't contain the random facts they ask you on the test. For physics, you don't need to study a lot. Just make sure you know the basic equations, and know the concepts. Focus on E&M.
Math 2C: what the heck just go and take it. It will be the easiest.

does the SATII not give you equations like they do on other exams?

Hmm, alright I know most of the equations anyway.

I had kinda hoped to wait to take physics until i had taken AP Physics, but i'll be taking it with only Honors under my belt (no calculus)

I scored a 760 on the blue book SAT II Biology.

Then, I scored a 660, 690, and 700 on the Kaplan practice tests.

I did not know some of the questions they asked as they were not covered in my AP Bio class nor were they in CliffsAP.

The SAT IIs I think are tricker but test easier material. By the way remember a 600 is not a bad score, it's just not a high one. On most of the SAT IIs a 600 is slightly better than average. Slightly better than average compared to students who are strong in general isn't all that weak.
