Difference b/w AP and SATII? HELP!

<p>I'm not sure if this topic has been overdone. I tried searching for it but it didn't come up with a concise answer for me.</p>

<p>I need to know what the difference between AP and SATII tests are. </p>

<p>I'm currently taking
AP US
AP English Lang
AP Calc BC
AP Physics B</p>

<p>If anyone could give me a comparative explanation for the AP/SATII tests for those subjects that'd be great! I just want to know if the SATII are harder/easier or can even be compared to the AP curriculum.</p>

<p>The reason I ask is I was thinking about taking the SATII on May 6 (which is right in the middle of AP fest =]) since I'm reviewing for AP tests anyhow. I'm probably going to take Math IIC, US, and Physics for SATIIs. Any suggestions or feedback would be loved =) How about how many I should take at a time?</p>

<p>-Math IIC should be a breeze for you :). Easy 800.
-Most people who got a 5 on APUSH got around 740-800 on US SAT II(my friends at least)
-If you are solid in AP Physics B, you should be able to get 800 pretty easily for physics. Just take some practice tests to make sure.</p>

<p>tchaikovsky, I got a straight 5 on AP Physics B. Got A+s in Hon. Physics and AP Physics. Got a 690 on SAT II the first time, and 680 the second time :( maybe I'm an anomaly.</p>

<p>I'm sorry to hear that :-/ . Four of my friends took it when they were in Honors Physics and scored 800 without studying. I guess it may just be based on the person.</p>

<p>Speaking of an anomaly, I scored a 4 on AP English Language, but got an 800 on the Literature SAT II. Go figure :p.</p>

<p>Maybe i'm just an anomaly, but I found the SAT II USH to be way harder than the AP test, but I didn't really study so that might explain it. 720 vs a 5. The SAT II is way more fact-oriented and covers more recent events in history. Less reasoning, cause-and-effect, and signficance involved.</p>

<p>APs are generally difficult than SAT II. But getting 800 on SAT II is harder than getting 5 on APs</p>
