For those of you who have taken either of history subject exams:

I am a sophmore planning to take World History this coming December. I took World History in freshmen year (Enlightment/Scientific Revolution onwards, no Ancient studies including) but did however take Ancient World Culture/History in 6th grade (lol, kind of a time gap). I've been using Kaplan as of now, and have been taking extensive notes on each chapter.

Problem: I've forgotten mostly anything & everything 1500 B.C and behind.
My concern: Should I continue to take detailed chapter notes....or should I pursue reading a more detailed book (Barrons, perhaps?) and just try to absorb all of the important information in 3 months.

I just really really don't wanna be wasting my precious IB student time in a test that doesn't even include details, but I don't mind the note-taking either, as long as it'll help guarantee that beautiful 800. Any advice y'all can offer?

I don’t recommend taking notes on WH. They take way too much time to do and you’ll just forget them. I recommend buying Barron’s (AP edition) and reading that several times. Then, take all 3 released CB tests and memorize the answers to those.

This does actually seem more worthwhile and beneficial. Taking all those notes was really tedious and lenghty. Thanks for the feedback!
