As I await results for my subject tests, and prepare to study for my other tests that I plan to take, I began to wonder, al though Notre Dame doesn't require them, what were acceptable, or excellent scores to them. What are your opinions on the various subject tests? I'll probably post my scores as they come.

I would guess they would want 700's or higher to have them help you at all, but I really don't think ND looks at them much for whatever reason. I think ND cares a lot more about your AP scores and SAT I's.

They mentioned that the SAT II scores can only help you, so probably like Irish said they don't take not unless they are around 700 or above. Irish, just wondering, I sent in my application a few weeks ago, but it didn't even ask for AP scores. As a matter of fact, it didnt ask about SAT or ACT scores either. Maybe they just screwed up the online app. and there is a place for AP scores on the regular app.

Or they may just assume you are going to send those scores as part of the application and not ask you to write it down in addition to sending the scores (which I have never understood. If they don't trust me to tell the truth and make me send my scores, which is smart, why do they ask me to write down my scores in the first place)? As long as you send your scores I think that you will be fine. Maybe ND finally figured out that having you send them and write them is a bit redundant, but I could be wrong and it may be worth shooting them an email if you are concerned.
