What is the difference between the two? I plan to take SAT II Math this year but I don't know what the diff bet. the two is; so I don't know which one to pick. Most of the people I asked told me that IIC is harder than IC....

take 2c. despite its name, its a lot easier to get an 800 on than the 1c. just study everything in barrons and it really is too easy. I dont think I missed a question on the test, though you can miss like 8 and still get a 800.

8 q. and still get 800! weird...but yeah, the name did give the impression that it was harder. does the curriculum differ in any way or is it all the same?

It's more like five questions.

Yes. In IIC, you need to know more about permutations and combinations than on IC. Those are the toughest areas for me, so that's the only difference I know of. However, there are more.

Pick up a Princeton Review book and look at the last section of miscellaneous information. It'll tell you of the major differences.

so would any of you recomend IC? or would it be better to study IIC? I just want what's easier or shorter lol

Well if you know pre-calc then take IIC. I got a 730 when I took it and that was after pitiful review with Barron's (I was literally failing every practice test..I eventually gave up studying). I think IC and IIC are both "easy" and "short" in their own way, it just depends on your strengths. I'd take IIC since it "looks better," and some schools only accept IIC.

I got a 750 on a Princeton REview practice test without studying on IIC. And I suck at non-calc math.

math 1c is good ur in the i-hate-math club

I do hate math...but I'm still not sure which one. It won't matter in terms of where I want to go for college; I know that much.
I think I should really just go with the flow...whatever everyone else is doing; I'll do it (but then again, people don't always make the right choices)
