SAT II's ; Only two enough if took new SAT?

I took the new SAT with writing so is it still required for me to take 3 SAT II subject tests? Is two enough? Also, for early decision, can I take the SAT II in November and rush them my scores? Or would that be pushing it?

Thanks.

check each school for their own policies on the new sat

I've tried.. but college websites are so disorganized! And i can't find anything on the new SAT.

The most any college I've seen requires is three. The GC at the kids' HS recommends 3 & you can take up to 3 at one session. My son has already taken 4 & will take one more in 10/05, Math II. The GC recommended he take it because he's interested in engineering & only took Math I; since he is taking calculus & has been reviewing pre-calculus in both Physics C & calculus, he shouldn't have to review too much to do well in it.

Most websites have a number you can call if you have questions & can't easily navigate their sites. Your GC should also be able to give you good advice. It's best to have some idea of what you may be interested in studying in college, as it would be useful to take SAT IIs related to that interest. Schools also like to see you doing well in areas outside of your interest.
HImom

at Columbia it is 3 SAT II's with the old SAT (one has to be writing)
OR 2 SAT II's with the new SAT.

That is definitely their policy, i guarantee it.

Yes, if you take the old SATI (which did not include the writing portion), you would need 3 SAT II's (one of which should be the writing). If you take the new SAT I (which DOES include the writing portion) then you only need to take two additional SAT IIs.

Columbia does not accept "rushed" scores, but check with the admissions office -- I think the November scores will arrive in time.
