Hi, I was just wondering if you guys would suggest taking the SAT again in November to maybe solidify my chances. My stats are currently 2070 total, 640 Reading, 750 Math, and 680 Writing. I'm applying for aerospace engineering with my second choice being civil. I've already submitted my application but I'm kind of worried that I won't get the major of my choice (I'm an auto-admit). Is it possible to take the test again in November, score higher (I will), and update my application? I just hate having this sense of uncertainty that has engulfed my mind for the past few weeks.

One of the admission counselors was at our school the other day and said they will take test scores up until December 1st INCLUDING the December SAT…so i’m assuming you should be fine with the November one. And if you know you can score higher, why not try? You will get into the University sure, but competitive majors won’t make decisions till February, so it can only help. I’m not doing engineering myself, but I hear that if you are over 1400 M + W (engineering is more about writing than reading) then you are surely in.
