Results in 5 days no poinyt discussing

@LGRW40 In fact I don’t understand why this question will cause so much controversy…I chose E without hesitation.

@Sharecentury For us Chinese, results may not become available until next month :-S

Why? Dont you get them online?

As long as buzzing is right, I think I got around -4 CR according to US thread. That should be 750, I’d be happy with that. If buzzing is wrong, might be -5
Not sure what that would knock me down to (730?) :(

Don’t you know this news? Well, because SOME chinese students used devious means to get answers before test, collegeboard would delay SAT scores for all chinese. Collegeboard delayed Chinese students’ scores in October and November, so it is very likely that it will delay test scores in December.

@LGRW40 What did you choose for question" plausible theory vs piecemeal story"?

Can you hook us up? Hhahaha how about eveyr one who applied to college??? Is there no Chinese students in any u.s college this year because of that???

@TohsakaRin I said informed speculation, that’s one I believe I got wrong. According to the US thread, the majority believes it is plausible theory.

Not that bad, but someone says that AO will not take chinese students’ scores in these three months seriously. I hope it is just rumor. But if I can receive my scores only at the end of January, I may miss the deadline for many colleges.

@LGRW40 But I remember that informed speculation is not choice for this question…I’m confused.

@TohsakaRin Oh well then I must be the confused one. Those were 2 different questions?

@LGRW40 I and my friends both remember so. BTW, I think informed speculation is a correct answer foranother question, so don’t be worry.

@LGRW40 I’m quite sure that buzzing is wrong. I think I was going to put that, looked at the other options and the passage, and then crossed that out. I agree with @WooTheDay that anise was very subjective. The author of passage two explicitly stated that “we are expected to believe this just because Luca Turin says so”, and if I recall correctly, slips in another derogatory comment about that. So I put anise.

The author of passage one starts off talking about the molecules having specific scents because of their size and shape, then disputes that in the second paragraph by introducing the concept of specific molecular vibrations and then follows through solidifying that theory. I don’t remember what the author of passage two discussed exactly; can somebody help me out here?

I believe he was mocking Turin. I think he derided his theory. He said that Turin was arrogant for believing that something should be accepted as the standard just because of his own subjective sense of smell. Pretty sure he also said that Turin’s theory was implausible. I don’t know, I can see how smell of anise could be correct and I can also see how buzzing of molecules could be correct. There seems to be support for both answer choices in the US thread

Tuesday’s coming quick. Good luck to everyone

@LGRW40 Do you remember a question about acupuncture? The correct answer is “evaluate objectively”. My friends remember that the question is “author of P2 thought P1 should …”. Some guys in US thread said “fradulent” is another choice for this question. Can you remember the question and those choices? I think it would be ridiculous to set a choice like “fradulent” for this question, it is OBVIOUSLY a wrong answer: will author of P2 encourage P1 to be fradulent? So I am wondering whether my friends remember the question incorrectly or “fradulent” is in fact not a choice for this question.

Fraudulent was definitely an incorrect answer, but I think it was for a different question than the one you’re talking about. Can’t really remember. I do remember putting something about objectivity at some point. Not much help I know haha. Scores on Tuesday, no use stressing

OK, anyway thx a lot~~! :)
