SAT January 2012 - Critical Reading

I picked rationally for cold blooded, and exaggerated for the acting one.

i put exaggerated…sat 100 can u start compiling a list so i can think of more questions lol…

to qualify a statement is to provide facts/evidence for it (make it better). why would the “as legend says or w.e” make the argument better?

if anyone remembers the questions from the photo one, i can definitely share my answers… i was very confident with all of them!

And the one about the analogies that were inappropriate for polite company… what was the answer?
I had no clue whatsoever.

lol sure thing. i’ll start now.

can u tell us the answers for the photo one?

I lied. I came back.

Cold-blooded meant “logically/rationally” in the context of the sentence. Any other choice would not make practical sense. It would have been logical to feel distain/anger, but she instead felt nonchalant.

Sc’s…please add to list and correct

1) vocalization
2) voluptuous
3) docile ( dogs and vet)
4) ruminate
5) adroit…erudition
6) exaggerated ( acting and histrionics)
7) prescient
8) obdurate (stubborn girl)
9) quackery…forestall

???
Aberrant
Meticulous
Digress

Mmm… I almost know for a fact I did perfectly on the photo one, so if you all know the queations, I’ll answer.

@jimmypod
I think you are actually strengthening for heartless detachment. If something bad happened, and she didn’t care that is detachment from feeling.

^Vocalization… which one was that??

Also no to meticulous, and I don’t think digress was one either.

hey burning flame do you remember the answer to what passage 1 and passage 2 view about documentary photographs?

what was the vocalization one?

anyone remember from the blogs, farming, clocks? for the clocks…anyone?

@momoof2ky
I agree with all of the answers except vocalization and digress which I don’t even remember.

@SAT100
I am 100% sure about meticulous. The sentence was talking about how the guy was thorough with his work and how he got both the expected and non-expected.

Elikress, can you remember some of the questions from the photo one? I am trying to think back, but everything is a blur now.

The only one from photography that I can remember atm, and am curious about is the last question. It asked us to relate the passage. I think I put Passage one talks about a method of photography, and passage 2 draws limitations for its uses.

Oh… that one. Yea I remember I guessed and I crossed off meticulous and put myopic. I didn’t know what myopic meant, but now that I googled it, I know its wrong.

i got the same as zzzzz lol, also…what else did u get for clocks. im blanking out… and for caldwell and stryker…did u get sympathize with the author for why he commented on camera

Heartless detachment would be like cold or callous for the coldblooded one. The serial killer was a cold blooded man. That would not make sense in the context of the sentence which said that if you look at things (practically) then you would disagree with her high morale.

@desi
I got that he gave him a course of action to solve his problems

“He saw me in dismay and told me to use my camera to expose bigotry and bring change.”
