SAT January 2012 - Critical Reading

what was the answer to the photography passage about how passage 1 and passage view documentary photographs?

Wasn’t the one with the aging remedies… wasn’t the answer sophistry? I was 100% confident with that answer.

I don’t believe it was quackery. Humbuggery seemed to fit for me.

I also but judgemental/snide but it was proud/aloof.

Course = progression

quackery has to do with like something medical stuff.

I narrowed the mrs anderson one to two and picked the wrong answer :(. I didn’t know what brooding meant…

Does anyone remember the one sentence completion which has three choices that started with ex-, one being expostulate? and another one was ruminent or something. What did you guys get for that?

For aging remedies I got quackery and forestall which is probably right.
For the speaking John I got adroit and erudition.
Because was skilled with speaking, and people mistook that for him actually being smart or erudite.
I got the expostulate one wrong, the answer was the answer that began with an “r”

rumination.

@Nynjal

I think I got ruminate, but don’t trust me because there were like 3 words I didn’t know for that question…

same as drac…do u guys get contented or something for the anderson, response to situation

They thought he was very educated because he could talk about all these different topics but in reality, he was just a very good speaker.

Rumination was indeed the correct answer…

Damn 2 wrong now…

And I got contented too.

for the adriot one, i put that at first then changed to something…inquisitiveness

what were hte answers to the blogs? i got intrusion of experience, something with contemporary practice, passage 1 finds it compelling, while passage 2 is ambivalent

did anyone get the answer meticuluous and selection for the vocab

@daniel
I was stuck between those two as well, but inquisitive means more curious which didn’t fit

I got contented for the B**** at the graveness question as well.

@T1nspire
YES!! I hope it is right, I wasn’t 100% on that one

@Desi
Passage 2 was ambivalent

Yeah I got meticulous.

I don’t remember much about the blog passage…

@drac lol I actually put that as the answer at first, since I didn’t know the real answer, but I left it blank in the end because I only narrowed it down to 3 and there I didn’t want to risk it. Other than the photography passage, I think I did alright. What did you guys put for the answer at the end of the photography section asking to ‘relate the passages’.

edit:
wait it wasn’t contented? Why, contended fit right it. He said he didn’t feel dissatisfied.

Btw for that passage was the police officer ‘polite’ or ‘prying’? I put polite, but prying seemed a bit extreme.

what was the meticulous question?
did people put docile for the dog and veternarian one?

Was it “inclusive and ____” or “comprehensive…drudgery”
