I am a Canadian living in Vancouver, which is 2 hours away from Seattle. I missed the registration deadline for the October SAT, and the College Board site says that "If you are testing in the United States, U.S. territories, or U.S. commonwealths, and you miss the registration deadline, you still have time to submit a registration". Does this mean that I can apply for the October test with late registration as long as I go across the border to take the test? Or do I have to be a US citizen enrolled in a US school?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks

I would suggest that you should call up SAT (ETS) and ask them the questions directly. I know standby rules are different in different countries, but I am not sure how different Canada is. Usually in the US, stand by’s generally get in but you need to be in the center early as there may be only a limited number of standby’s allowed. Most test centers have a few extra tests and there are no shows and that allows people to take the exam as standby but it is not guaranteed. And there is a always the last minute tension (will I make it or will I not), hence I always suggest taking the sure thing. A quick call to SAT will answer your questions.
