SAT March 10 2012

1930 with no preparation. 640 cr / 580 m (ouch) / 710 w. 8 on the essay, which is WAY LOWER than what i expected. retaking in june for at least a 2100 (hoping for 2200-2300, though). i want an 11 on my next essay.

I’m sad! I’ve never done this bad and I practiced so much. It’s upsetting that I work so hard, and my friends complain about getting 2000+ when they don’t even study. Whatever… there are more in the future.
520 CR
620 Writing (10 on essay)
650 Math

Yay 2320 I met my goal! So happiii :>

second time taking, super score didn’t increase…sigh

2150, but a asdklfjalsweoriweouri breakdown: 800 CR/680 M/670 W.

I really wanted 700+ M, but I’m not that surprised. But Writing being my lowest? Ouch. Should I retest, or is the superscore enough? The 600s - I don’t know.

ARRRgggghhh. I have to wait till Sunday to get my scores because of a fire alarm incident thing that happened at my test center. And all of my mom’s friends keep calling to ask how I did. Nosy asian parents…

A lot of it is being careful, and a lot of practice tests. Know that SAT tests you on specific, recurring things in Writing. SAT Reading also does not use a lot of interpretation, overthinking is killer. Be sure to study words that commonly appear on the test (you can find them online, or Direct Hits). As for math, when you come across a problem that you don’t know how to do, try to think outside the box. Make small advancements with the information given, substitute in numbers for multiple variables, and you will eventually get the question correct. You should also have a basic fundamental background in Geometry and Algebra.

0.0 Same thing happened at my friend’s school.

Is anyone else kind of excited to retake? I’m just ecstatic to see that my scores did increase from the PSAT. Now I know what I’m capable of and what I need to concentrate on. Especially since I’m so close to my goal, if I just increase 30 points I’m at my target.

2280

800 CR
750 Math
730 Writing

Not retaking, a 1550/1600 is as good as it will get.

So happy that months and months of hard work finally paid off!!! Never have to take the test again!

2260 composited

800 reading
760 writing

Might take it again to raise my math, but i’m really pleased. The highest I’d gotten on any practice before was 2140.

First time taking it, and I thought I would get so much lower!
2200
760 CR
760 W (9 essay, 76 MC)
680 M
Definitely retaking but I’m happy with CR and W!

2060
690 CR
680 M
690 W (10 essay)

I went in completely cold, no studying at all. I’m pretty confident I can get that up to at least a 2300 pretty easily.

how do you find out your essay score?

When you look at your scores it’s right underneath the writing score.

Everyone here gets such high scores…
I got a 1490.
But it was my first time and I barely studied. I’m currently studying for the April ACT right now but…

Any tips on how to improve by at least 600 points for the June SAT?

2000…
