I got 770 on math II. Ive just seen the percentile which is 79% and got worried. The score range is 740-800 which is also weird since I've heard it should be 770-800. What's going on here? Is it still a good score for an ivy?

Anything 750+ is fine

It’s a good score for an ivy. The thing is SAT math ii used to be a very prestigious subject to get a high score. In fact, a decade or so ago only a small handful among thousands and thousands would get a perfect 800 on this subject test. Now, however, SAT math ii is one of the most popular tests to get a 750+ let alone an 800 so as you can see, colleges don’t really think the 800 math ii is as prestigious. But like almost any other subject test, getting a high score on it is great :)

I’m pretty sure your score is always in the middle of the score range they give, unless you get an 800 or a 200. And don’t worry about the 79%, 800 is only 88%.
