I'm currently taking Honors Precalc and looking at the Barrons study guide the material doesn't look very easy to me. Do you think taking AP Calc my junior year, then taking Math II would be beneficial or would it make me forgot some precalc topics?

I would probably go ahead and take it after precalc since no calculus topics are on the test. It would be best to take it when the topics are fresh in your mind. If the stuff looks difficult, then I would just recommend taking some practice tests

I took Math II after a year of AP Calculus and I think my precalc skills were a little rusty.

To be honest, it does not contain so much of trig/precal material. I just studied basic trig function and got 800 without taking trig/precal (skipped it and went straight to AP Cal). There was only one question I could not solve. Good luck.

It actually contains a lot of trig material. If I recall correctly, there were a lot of questions involving trig functions and equations (e.g., [cos (2x) = (cos x)^2 - (sin x)^2]). This would be really unrecognizable to you if you have only taken geometry. I am just making a point. It is very possible to get 800 by March or May of the year you take regular pre-cal or trig.

The Barron’s guide is also very difficult and requires a natural inclination for math to score high in its practice tests if you have not learned enough material.

^yea, that was what I meant by basic trig functions. I was just trying to say that since the test does not contain in-depth precal/trig material, OP does not have to necessarily take the test at specific time.
