So I've heard a lot of good things about this calculator called the Ti89 titanium, and I was just wondering how useful would it be on the sat 1 math and the sat 2 math. Some people say it helped them get a much higher score than the would've got if they didn't have that calculator.

First off, no SAT questions require the use of a calculator. It could be helpful on some questions, but a calculator is not required.

I’ve also heard good things about the TI-89. It’s similar in functionality to a TI-NSpire CAS, so it can solve equations algebraically (e.g. solve x^3 + 2 = y for x). CAS calculators can also evaluate indefinite integrals and such. All in all, you don’t need a fancy graphing calculator for the SAT, although it could be quite useful in higher math (calculus and up).
