So I want to apply to Pitzer College, which has an SAT optional policy for those who are in the top 10% of their class or have a 3.5 GPA or greater. I qualify to not send my score in but I was wondering if sending in my score of 2170 would hurt or help my app. I think it's a decent score but since the SAT is optional, I don't know if I should send it or not. I would greatly appreciate any opinions. Thanks!

It really sounds like you’re joking. Why would you go to an SAT option college with that SAT score? But in any case, why send it if it’s not gonna help you, but it wouldn’t hurt.

Nope I’m not joking! I don’t really understand what you mean. I’m not applying because it’s an SAT optional school; I just really like the school. But thanks for the input!

Oh okay, I’m sorry then! What I meant was that if your high score could help you with scholarships or aid then you should send it. If its going to be useless then there’s really no point in sending it. But I’d think it would help you.

Oh ok cool. I don’t know if they offer scholarships and stuff based on SATs but I think I shall send in my score anyway. Thanks!
