I recently visited Bowdoin and learned that standardized tests do not have to be submitted in the application. What other schools are "test optional", and does anyone associated with these schools have an opinion as to whether or not i should submit scores (30 ACT and 2120 SAT)?

Pitzer is test optional if you are graduating in top 10% of class, or have unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher in academic subjects.

[The National Center for Fair & Open Testing | FairTest](http://www.fairtest.org) maintains an up-to-date list.

it’s still good to send in your scores.

It will show that you are a better student.

Why the hell would you not send those scores?

Holy Cross and Loyola are two schools that are test optional as well.

Connecticut College too.

By the way, your scores would make you a competitive candidate for top 35 schools anyways.

Wake Forest.

Actually the ACT score is near the 25%ile but the SAT score is near to the 50%ile. http://www.bowdoin.edu/ir/images/cds2010-11.pdf At Bowdoin your scores will only be considered if you send them, and then they will be important. I think sending the SAT would be OK.

Yeah really I would send those scores!
