Just got the ACT score today and I am frustrated. I always blew up one subject and ruined everything. Here is the breakdown of my SAT and ACT.

SAT:
One setting: R: 740; M: 800; W: 670 (2210)
Superscored: R: 740; M: 800; W: 730 (2270)

ACT
One setting: E: 35; M: 35; R: 31; S: 35 (34 composite)
Essay score is not out yet, but may drag E down a little, say down to 33 or 34.

So, which score should I send? It's killing me!!!!!!

Send both or check what are the scores people usually send and where your SAT and ACT scores fall into that. Then you pick the one with the highest percentile and send that score.

The challenge I am having is that my SAT has Reading+Math = 1540 (with Math 800), while my ACT has three (3) 35s. A 34 composite is actually lower than SAT’s 1540 if I apply for schools like Cornell which do not consider writing, while (3) 35s appear (to me) to be more balanced.

base it on the schools admission statistics and see which one will give you a better chance of getting accepted.

Both your ACT and SAT scores are excellent. I think it costs $9 or $10 to send ACT scores to each college (I don’t know about the SAT). If I were you and the extra $100 or so won’t cause you to go hungry, I’d send both.
