<p>I don’t think so. They give you the option to choose.
I think that is because for some countries, like mine, the ACT is only offered in one high school, whereas the SAT is offered in multiple. The ACT is also a lot cheaper than the SAT.
Keep in mind that some universities require SAT Subject tests, which can’t be substituted with the ACT.</p>
<p>Some students do better in the SAT than the ACT, and vice versa!</p>
