SAT or ACT

Hi,
I took the SAT back in May and got a 1300/1900 (600 W, 640 M, 660 CR) and I'm not really satisfied with my results. I know the math part was because I'm definately not comfortable with american mathematics (I'm from Europe) so I just have to keep on studying more and more of that 'til I nail it. The question I wanted to ask was should I take the SAT once more or the ACT instead and study for that? I also HAVE to take two (preferrably three) subject tests. The big problem is that I need to travel for about 3 hours to get to the city which offers the SAT but the ACT is offered in my hometown. Just asking for some oppinions :)

Thanks,
H

American mathematics... yeah, I know, it's so confusing that 1+1 = 3 over there... :D

I suggest you forget about the inconveniences of the travel time and take whatever test you are more comfortable with ( = will do better on). The only thing that matters is your final scores.

And would you mind explaining what the SAT IIs have to do with the SAT vs ACT debate? I am sorry but I am not sure why you brought them up.

Thank you for the input :)

The SAT IIs came into the picture because I can't take them simultaneously as the SAT I. That means that I have to go and, for example, take the SAT Reasoning Test in October and then the subject tests in November which could lead to having to take three subject tests at once to be able to get my applications done in time.
