SAT or SAT Subject Tests???

Should I take the SAT Subject tests instead of the regular SAT? I have taken the ACT which is able to be used in lieu of SAT II’s, but would it still be a good idea to take them? I did terrible on my SAT: I got a 1740 :expressionless: … But my ACT score was a 30 and I am retaking it again and studying for it unlike last time. If I retake my SAT I’m sure I can increase my score, but I doubt it would surpass my ACT score. I feel that I could do well on the subject tests I’m just not sure if it’s worth taking them. I would take Math II, Physics, and either U.S. or World History. Not sure about the history tests I just need a third test and I’m sure I could do well if I study. I’ll most likely be applying to the engineering programs at all or most schools if that changes anything. Please comment if you have any idea how much of an advantage it would be to take subject tests rather than attempting another SAT.

you should work on the ACT. You got a better score on that test.

Since your planning on retaking the ACT, take the SAT subject tests.
