SAT Physics subject test

okay so I'm going to take the SAT in october and the Physics subject test in november. The thing is, I've never taken any prior classes in physics. My question is is it possibile to score 800 with only a PR prep book. I'm planning to go into engineering which some colleges requires a science subject test.

Good luck with that, some people must just be geniuses – I could never do that.

It is possible. I did it after a year of honors physics that only covered half the material. You may have to go through the book several times, but if you work hard enough you should be able to figure it out. You’ll want to take practice tests from several sources.

If you’ve never taken basic HS physics, it might be a little tough but still possible. The SAT IIs are really strange in the type of questions they ask and topics they cover. Because of this, the prep book is pretty much essential even for AP Physics students. The material is a little more than HS physics but nowhere close to AP stuff. So yeah, it’s very possible to do it with just a prep book but only if you can grasp physics concepts fast.

Why don’t you take a different subject test?

it’s definitly possible so if you really want to take the physics test, just study study study tons! good luck.
