Hey, I'm not American so I'm not too fluent with the curriculum there. Next year I will be taking the SATs and I was wondering what are two books you recommend for achieving a remarkable score? Thank you very much =)

For the SAT? Get the Official SAT Study Guide. You really don't need anything else.

Oh ok. Should that be enough?

I heard someone saying that the Princeton Review SATwas good (and better), but I'm not keen on the details. So I came here for help.
Would one book be enough? Remember I'm not too fluent with the US curriculum.

I suppose the PR book would be beneficial. Yeah, go with the Princeton Review Cracking the SAT and the Official SAT Study Guide. Those should be more than enough.

OK. TY very much =)

What are u getting now? You should take a practice test to see where you are. Personally i would recommend the official sat study guide for practice tests only (don't bother reading all that...) and barrons 2400 for strategy

I do not know my score range unfortunately. I'll be taking SATs classes from early next year, then I'll be able to take practice tests.

So, from this thread I should go with the Official SATs and Barrons 2400/PR SAT.
Which of the latter would benefit me (a foreigner) the most?

Well, barrons 2400 is for high scoring people already. But if ur a foreigner, I'm guessing only your reading and writing might be in jeopardy, and i think Barrons 2400 goes over those areas well. However, barrons 2400 doesnt have that many words to memorize nor do they have a interesting way of presenting them, it's just a list, no mnemonic devices. Official SATs for sure, then try to take a practice.

If ur getting around 600 or higher on the sections, get barrons 2400

Being a foreigner doesn't seem to hinder your writing skills, at least on here. In fact, it's better than many people I know.

As for your question, the official SAT study guide and barrons 2400 seem to be what people like most. Personally, I only chose the official SAT study guide. If you're going to take classes along with that, then you should be well-prepared.

Well, from your english I'm guessing that you're from an English speaking country... UK or s'pore or something? Anyway, I suggest Barron's 2400, Princeton Review, and of course the official test book! Those three should be enough unless you're looking for specific review in one area, like vocabulary - although I think Barron's is good for vocab, too.

Well I am not exactly sure of the title but if it is vocabulary you want to learn and improve on there are certain books that focus mainly on that. I think Kaplan or Princeton has books which show words that frequently appear on the SATs. Visit your local book store and ask around there and you might useful ones. Good luck!

I agree with the rec for College Board book plus Princeton Review. You need 1) great tests and 2) to understand how the test really works. The two books together are awesome for that.
