SAT prep course????

My friend signed her daughter up for an SAT prep course..its 6 weeks for several hours a time and $850 ..Is that a fair price? Seems kinda high.

If a kid is motivated can they do as well with an ONLINE Prep SAT course? or is live better?

"If a kid is motivated ...."
she wont need prep classes. self-studying will get you a looooooooong way and save you money

Like Gandhiji said, if the student is motivated and has the time to self study, then using the tests put out by CB coupled with a few other reference book will save you a lot of money and quite likely give you better results compared to a generic SAT prep class

tanman -- I agree.

Thank you all.
Can you recommend books I should get her to use. I think that the CB has the new SAT study guide..so I would get that one.
Anything else?

Get more tests/practice from the CB website but just for practicing get Princeton Reviews 11 Practice SATs.
